Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to renovate an apartment in Paris per m²?
On our own projects in older Paris apartments, between €750 and €1,100 per m² excluding VAT, with a median of €861. Our indicative range for a full renovation is €900–1400 per m² including VAT.
Why is Paris more expensive than elsewhere in France?
Older buildings (timber floors, original networks), co-ownership rules and working hours, narrow streets for deliveries and rubble removal, upper floors without lifts, and sometimes heritage constraints all add time and cost.
Are the prices with or without VAT?
Project budgets on this page exclude VAT (HT in French). Renovation of homes over two years old is usually subject to 10% VAT in France, 5.5% for some energy-efficiency works. Our indicative ranges per m² include VAT (TTC).
How long does a full renovation take?
On our older Paris apartments, between 5 and 22 weeks of works, 10 weeks at the median, excluding the time for quotes, co-ownership approval and permits.
